New counselling service opens in Wirksworth and Belper.

Amber Talking Therapies will be opening counselling clinics in Wirksworth and Belper from 3rd December 2012. We have appointments from Monday to Friday in Wirksworth. Our Belper office has appointments seven days a week at times to suit, including early mornings and late evenings. Wirksworth Parade

Wirksworth Parade Committee urgently needs volunteers to help marshall our fantastic parade! We need you on Monday 27th from 11:45am - approx 1pm.

HELP! We have had only 4 weeks to get this year's parade sorted and now we need your help... We need at least 6 marshalls for Monday 27th to marshall the parade. You will be required to keep traffic at bay and ensure spectators do not step onto the road. For more details please email wirksworthparade@yahoo.com

We also need a volunteer to run our raffle stall otherwise we cannot do it. This will involve selling raffle tickets! Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you

Abi Moore Live & Solo in Wirksworth

Lincolnshire's favourite singer/ songwriter, Abi Moore, makes a rare appearance back in Derbyshire at the very beautiful and newly refurbished Coach House Studios in Wirksworth. Abi will be playing original acoustic songs from her two previous albums and a sprinkling of covers by the artists who influenced her (Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell.) She may also throw in a couple of brand new songs from her third album, which is due for release in October! Expect to hear perceptive lyrics weaved into enchanting melodies performed by a charismatic and engaging performer. Wirksworth's Carol Fieldhouse will open the show around 7.30pm and doors open 7pm. Non alcoholic refreshments are available, but please bring your own bottle! Grand Pavilion Summer Market

Art, craft, clothing accessories, jewellery, books, food and many more - over 30 stalls at the Grand Pavilion Summer Market, Matlock Bath. Cafe available throughout for light snacks and refreshments. Free to the public from 11am to 5pm on both days. This is a Grand Pavilion fundraiser and we appreciate all the stallholders who have continued to support our little project!
